Transfer Success Program

The STEM Transitions Transfer Success Program is a two-day program, designed just for transfer students in Math and Science disciplines, that covers a variety of topics to help with the transition to VCU and be successful in their science and math courses.

The Transfer Success Program is supplemental to New Student Orientation and available in the fall and spring semesters. This program provides a great opportunity to connect with fellow transfer students, faculty in math and science departments, and other VCU resources and staff. The main goals of the Transfer Success Program are to help new transfer students adjust to the academic rigor, transition smoothly to VCU, and persist successfully through graduation!

STEM Transitions Peer Mentor Program

The STEM Transitions Peer Mentor Program is designed for new transfer students majoring in a math or science discipline to assist them with the transition to VCU. Our mentors are students majoring in math and science disciplines who previously transferred to VCU and have successfully navigated the transition.

If you are a current VCU student majoring in a math or science discipline who previously transferred and you feel you could benefit by being paired with a peer mentor, please complete our STEM Transitions Peer Mentor Program Interest Form.
